Data Protection

Salamon Emissionshaus GmbH website privacy policy (General Data Protection Regulation GDPR)

The protection of your data has a particularly high priority for Salamon Emissionshaus GmbH (hereinafter: our company). With the present declaration we would therefore like to inform you about the handling of data in our company in connection with the use of our Internet pages. Already at this point, we point out that we process personal data in accordance with data protection regulations, in particular Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (General Data Protection Regulation; hereinafter: DSGVO).

1. Note: Links

Our online offer contains links to websites of other providers. We have no influence on these websites and the use of personal data there.

1. Definitions

The data protection declaration of our company is essentially based on the terms and definitions of the GDPR. In this regard, we would like to refer in particular to the definitions in Art. 4 DSGVO, which you can find freely accessible on the Internet. We would like to briefly present the most important terms from our point of view already here:

“Personal data” means any information relating to an identified or identifiable natural person (“data subject”); an identifiable natural person is one who can be identified, directly or indirectly, in particular by reference to an identifier such as a name, an identification number, location data, an online identifier or to one or more factors specific to the physical, physiological, genetic, mental, economic, cultural or social identity of that natural person.

“Processing” means any operation or set of operations which is performed upon personal data, whether or not by automatic means, such as collection, recording, organization, filing, storage, adaptation or alteration, retrieval, consultation, use, disclosure by transmission, dissemination or otherwise making available, alignment or combination, restriction, erasure or destruction.

“Controller” means the natural or legal person, public authority, agency or other body which alone or jointly with others determines the purposes and means of the processing of personal data.

2. Data protection law controller

The person responsible in the sense of data protection law is:

Salamon Emissionshaus GmbH
Managing Director: Christian Salamon
c/o WorkRepublic Düsseldorf
Berliner Allee 26
40212 Düsseldorf
Tel: 0231-189988-0
Fax: 0231189988-99
Mail: emissionshaus@salamon-ag.de

3. Which data are collected/processed?

a) Use of our Internet pages

When you visit our Internet pages, the following data is collected and stored by our server:

Browser used and operating system used,
If applicable, the website from which you accessed our pages
Date/time of your visit to our Internet pages,
Your IP address,
your internet provider

The data is processed in accordance with Art. 6 Para. 1 lit. f DSGVO. This data is required in order to be able to display our Internet pages to you at all, to improve the content of our Internet pages and to ensure the permanent functionality of our Internet pages.

It is not possible for us to identify you personally using this data alone. For this purpose, we would additionally need the data stored by third parties, in particular the data stored by your Internet provider. This provider knows which specific Internet connection was provided with the stored IP address at the time of the stored visit. If several people use one Internet connection, it is not possible to determine the specific person using the IP address alone. Your Internet provider is generally not authorized to provide us with the data it holds. Only in the case of illegal behavior related to your IP address (e.g. an attack on our systems via your IP address) would we forward the stored data to the law enforcement authorities, if necessary, who would then be able to determine your identity, taking into account the data of your Internet provider. Without the IP address, however, the service and functionality of our website is not guaranteed. In addition, individual services and services may not be available or may be limited.

The data is deleted as soon as it is no longer required for the purpose of collection. This is generally the case for data used to provide the website when the respective session has ended.
In the case of storage of data in log files, this is the case after 14 days at the latest. Storage beyond this period is possible. In this case, the IP addresses of the users are anonymized, so that an assignment of the calling client is no longer possible.

b) Contact by e-mail

If you contact us via e-mail, we will process the personal data you provide in your e-mail as well as all data technically associated with the e-mail and the content of the e-mail for the purpose of further communication with you. The data is used to optimize the website and to ensure the security of the information technology systems. An evaluation of the data for marketing purposes does not take place. The data is thus used exclusively for internal customer administration and to process the user’s inquiries.

In particular, the e-mail address can be considered personal data within the meaning of 4 (1) DSGVO, insofar as it is linked to a specific person, as can the content of the e-mail or parts thereof.

The legal basis for the processing of data transmitted in the course of sending an e-mail is Art. 6 (1) p. 1 lit. f DSGVO. If the contact aims at the conclusion of a contract, the additional legal basis for the processing is Art. 6 para. 1 p. 1 lit. b DSGVO.

The data will be deleted as soon as they are no longer necessary to achieve the purpose for which they were collected. For personal data sent by e-mail, this is the case when the respective communication with you has ended. The communication is terminated when it is clear from the circumstances that the matter in question has been conclusively clarified.

4. Recipients/third parties/transfer to a third country (Art. 13 (1)(e) and (f) GDPR)

Personal data will only be passed on to third parties with your express consent, unless expressly stated otherwise in this data protection declaration. The only exceptions to this are legal disclosure obligations and – if necessary – a transfer to companies of the Salamon Group and service providers commissioned by us, such as tax consultants, lawyers and/or auditors. We will always oblige these third parties to maintain secrecy and to comply with the applicable data protection regulations, unless such an obligation already exists by law.

All data is stored on servers or computers within the European Union; a transfer to a third country is not intended and also not planned.

We store data with an external hosting provider. In doing so, we use the following hosting services to provide the following services: infrastructure and platform services, computing capacity, storage space and database services, security services and technical maintenance services. We require all of these services to operate our online offering. In doing so, we, or our hosting provider, process inventory data, contact data, content data, contract data, usage data, meta data and communication data of customers, interested parties and visitors to our online offer on the basis of our legitimate interests in an efficient and secure provision of this online offer pursuant to Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f DSGVO in conjunction with Art. 28 DSGVO. Art. 28 DSGVO.
