The Panamax tanker FEDOR was sold in June. After its last voyage for the Fedor KG, which took the ship from Texas, USA, to three ports in India, it was handed over to the buyers in Singapore on 1 September.
FEDOR is a record holder for the Salamon Group in several respects: The ship had been in service for Fedor KG since early 2004, i.e. for almost 22 years. No other ship had been in service with SAG for longer. It achieved the lowest consecutive downtime (Off Hire). For over 16 quarters – more than four years – the ship sailed in all weathers without a single minute of downtime for the KG. And with 60% distributions in 2023, it has made the highest distributions from ongoing ship operations.
FEDOR was acquired by a company from Hong Kong. It will continue to operate the ageing ship after the upcoming docking. We wish the new owner good luck and success with the new ship.
