Extensive experience in shipping, investment, financing and restructuring
Christian Salamon is the founder and namesake of Salamon AG. After holding positions at industrial companies in Germany and the USA, as well as at a Swiss management consultancy, he joined a Dortmund-based issuer of property funds and ship investments in 1993. In 2002, he founded Salamon AG.
Christian Salamon, born in 1957, has been involved in the design and placement of more than 70 property funds and ship investments with a total investment volume of over €2.9 billion.
As CEO of Salamon AG, he is responsible for the strategic direction of the group, project development and the management of the various single-ship companies.
He studied economics at the University of Essen and graduated with a degree in business administration. Christian Salamon is married and the father of three sons.
Hans Akkermann has been associated with the company since the Salamon Group was founded, first as a consultant, then as a member of numerous boards of directors, and later as a shareholder. In 2020, he was appointed to the Executive Board.
As Chief Operating Officer (COO), he is responsible for chartering and the operational management of the fleet.
Hans Akkermann, born in 1947, has more than 50 years’ experience in the international shipping industry. He has dedicated his entire professional career to the maritime sector, acquiring comprehensive and in-depth specialist knowledge in the process.
From 1973 to 2012, he worked for the renowned ship broker Frachtcontor Junge in Hamburg. There, his focus was on the tanker and OBO business, as well as the sale and purchase of ships. From 1996 to 2012, he was a member of the management board of Frachtcontor Junge & Co. GmbH. For the last twelve years of his tenure, he served as Chairman of the Management Board.
