Link between investor and KG

Anyone who makes a capital investment wants to know how that investment will develop. Likewise, each shareholder has co-determination rights which he should make use of. However, investors, many of whom are not familiar with the shipping industry, do not always have the maritime background knowledge to make all the shareholder decisions that arise without professional support. This is where the task of Westfälische Sachwert und Treuhand GmbH & Co. KG (WST) begins, acting as a link between the investor and the investment company.

WST is the central point of contact for the shareholders in all matters relating to their investments in the SAG funds. She is responsible for almost 10,000 shareholders to date.

WST provides information on the current economic and tax development of the funds and distributes the audited annual financial statements and annual report to the shareholders. As a trustee she represents shareholders at shareholders meetings and votes on their behalf – often in accordance with the instructions of the trustors. She provides investors with correspondence, including annual reports and tax result certificates, and thus ensures easy-to-maintain and clear documentation of the investments.

WST’s other tasks include handling the transfer of the holdings in the event of sale, donation or inheritance to the new purchasers, commercial register applications and the execution of disbursement and interest payment runs to the shareholders.
